As per trade sources, cumulative groundnut exports from October 2023 to March 2024 remained low by 9%, totaling 4.29 lakh tonnes compared to 4.73 lakh tonnes during the same period last year. Additionally, groundnut exports declined in March 2024 by 22% to 0.68 lakh tonnes compared to 0.88 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period last year. Indonesia (35%) and Vietnam (17%) remained the top importers. The decline in exports is putting pressure on domestic prices.
