In the next three months govt. Is likely to procure 2.82 million tonnes (MT) of mustard from farmers through MSP in significant oilseed-producing states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam. In partnership with state agencies, the two entities—farmers' cooperative Nafed and the National Cooperative Consumers Federation (NCCF)—have already procured 72,000 tonnes of mustard in recent days across these states.
