According to trade sources, the government has accelerated mustard procurement for the current marketing year, acquiring 18.88 lakh tonnes in major states such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, the government holds 7.5 lakh tonnes of previously procured stocks, bringing the total to 26.38 lakh tonnes. Currently, mustard prices in Jaipur have reached a six-month high due to the government's procurement efforts and strong global market signals.
