In April 2024, there was a 12% decrease in RM seed arrivals in Rajasthan, a 47% decrease in MP, a 45% decrease in Gujarat, and a 23% decrease in UP. Despite achieving record production, the decline in arrivals can be attributed to farmers holding onto their produce and diverting it towards government procurement centres.
