During this season, the farmers' cooperative Nafed and the National Cooperative Consumers Federation (NCCF), in collaboration with state agencies, have successfully procured 0.56 million tonnes (MT) of mustard seeds through Price Support Scheme (PSS) operations across multiple states including Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Assam. Notably, the majority of mustard purchases have been concentrated in Haryana (0.32 MT) and Madhya Pradesh (0.11 MT) up to this point. Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture has sanctioned the procurement of 2.84 MT of various oilseed varieties under PSS for the ongoing season, slated for purchase over the next two months.
