This season, the farmers' cooperative Nafed and the National Cooperative Consumers Federation (NCCF), in conjunction with state agencies, have procured 0.56 million tonnes (MT) of mustard seeds through PSS operations across Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Assam. Notably, the bulk of mustard purchases have been concentrated in Haryana (0.32 MT) and Madhya Pradesh (0.11 MT) thus far. Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture has approved the procurement of 2.84 MT of various oilseed varieties under PSS for the current season, earmarked for purchase over the ensuing two months.
