According to Public Notice No. 13/2024/25 released on June 26, 2024, the Government of India has decided to import approximately 5 lakh metric tons of maize under the TRQ (Tariff Rate Quota) through NAFED. Govt. of India earlier permitted maize import under TRQ scheme in 2020.
