As per trade sources, a total of 75,625 MT Pulses were imported at Chennai port during the period of 1st to 31st January 2024 as against 48,750 MT during December 23. The total quantity imported during the period included 17,400 MT Tur, 42,625 MT Urad, 13,275 MT Lentil, 75 MT Black Eye Beans, 225 MT Kidney Beans, 200 MT Lima Bean and 1500 MT Cow Peas, 150 MT Chickpea and 50 MT Brown Eye Beans.
