In 2023, small cardamom exports dropped by 49.70% to 3,132.94 metric tons, while large cardamom exports fell by 22.86% to 1,369.57 metric tons compared to the previous year.

Conversely, large cardamom imports experienced a significant upswing, rising by 23.37% to 8,988.03 metric tons from January to December 2023, compared to 7,284.94 metric tons during the same period in the prior year.
