The Vietnam government has approved a scheme to procure a total of 220,000 MT of rice for the year 2024. This process involves 22 reserve departments located in cities and provinces nationwide. They are tasked with managing 196 bidding packages to acquire domestically produced long-grain rice, which comprises 15 percent broken rice, processed from the 2024 Spring harvest.
