Soybean losses from recent floods in southern Brazil are estimated at 2.71 million metric tons, according to crop agency Emater. This aligns with private forecasts, which range from 2.8 million to 3 million tons. Emater stated that Rio Grande do Sul's soybean crop is now expected to reach 19.53 million tons this season, down from the previously forecasted 22.24 million tons. The agency has pegged soy yields at 2,923 kilograms per hectare in the state.
