As per USDA, By July 21, sixty-five percent of the nation's soybean acreage had reached the blooming stage, 1 percentage point behind last year but 5 points ahead of the 5-year average. Over the week, soybean blooming progress advanced by 10 percentage points or more in 14 of the 18 estimating states. Nationally, 29 percent of the soybean acreage had begun setting pods, 2 percentage points behind last year but 5 points ahead of the average. As of July 21, sixty-eight percent of the nation's soybean acreage was rated in good to excellent condition, equal to the previous week but 14 percentage points higher than the previous year.
