Vietnam's Pepper Imports Decline in May 2024

In May 2024, Vietnam imported 3,783 tons of pepper, with black pepper accounting for 3,475 tons. The total import turnover was 16 million USD, a decrease of 11 million USD compared to April.

Olam Vietnam was the main importer, with 1,341 tons, a decline of 33.8% from the previous month. Cambodia was the largest supplier, providing 1,913 tons (50.6% of the total imports), an increase of 14.0%. Brazil followed, supplying 977 tons (25.8% of the total), a decrease of 44.7% compared to April 2024.
