IMD Report: Isolated Heavy Rainfall And Thunderstorms Expected Across South India Till May 12th

The latest IMD report indicates that there has been isolated heavy rainfall in Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana on May 8.

A cyclonic circulation is situated over Tamil Nadu in the lower tropospheric levels, resulting in isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and North Interior & Coastal Karnataka from the 8th to the 12th of May. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds (30-40 kmph), is expected over Kerala, Mahe, and South Interior Karnataka during the same period.
