In the middle tropospheric levels, there is a cyclonic circulation positioned over south Gujarat. At mean sea level, an off-shore trough extends along the coasts of south Gujarat and Karnataka. These weather systems are expected to bring widespread to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning to Coastal Karnataka. Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and Interior Karnataka are likely to experience scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall. Tamil Nadu and Telangana may receive isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall over the next five days.
