By July 14, fifty-one percent of the nation’s soybean acreage had reached the blooming stage, matching last year's progress and exceeding the 5-year average by 7 percentage points. In 13 of the 18 estimating states, soybean blooming advanced by 12 percentage points or more during the week. Nationally, 18 percent of the soybean acreage had begun setting pods, which is 1 percentage point ahead of last year and 6 points ahead of the average. As of July 14, sixty-eight percent of the nation’s soybean acreage was rated in good to excellent condition, consistent with the previous week and 13 percentage points higher than the previous year.
