According to the sources, approx. 50-100 containers of Malawi Tur (having 20% moisture) has been stopped at Mozambique’s Nacala port on the name of rechecking of documents. If the loading remains discontinue for next 15-20 days, the quality is the same is expected to be detreated being higher moisture level. This issue may affect the smooth loading in Mozambique as Malawi exporters would not be ready to take any financial risk as a large amount of Tur was previously held up for a longer period of 5-6 months at Beira Port.
