Tanzania to Sell 5 Lakh MT of Maize to the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Tanzania is set to sell 500,000 tonnes of maize to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which is currently experiencing a food shortage. An agreement was signed recently in the capital, Dodoma, between the state-run National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) and Quincy Company, based in Katanga Province of the DRC. The first consignment will consist of 200,000 tonnes of maize, followed by the remaining 300,000 tonnes.
