According to DGCIS, India exported 41,058 MT of maize in April 2024, marking a 77% decrease compared to April 2023. The main destinations for export were neighboring countries Nepal and Bhutan. And India imported 51,588 MT of maize in April 2024, a significant increase from the negligible 665 MT imports in April 2023. The major exporter of maize to India in April 2024 was Myanmar.
