This week marks the final stretch for safrinha planting. Concerns about dryness are emerging in south-central Brazil, encompassing states such as Parana, Mato Grosso do Sul, Sao Paulo, southern Goias, and southeastern Mato Grosso. Rainfall in this region has been notably below average, ranging from 40% to 80% less than usual over the past 2-3 weeks. Some relief came over the weekend with rainfall benefiting parts of Mato Grosso do Sul and Goias.
