In 2023-24, the export of rapeseed meal remained relatively stagnant, with 22.13 lakh tons exported compared to 22.97 lakh tons in the previous year. This consistency can be attributed to the increased production of rapeseed in India over the last three years. However, there's a looming concern regarding rapeseed processing in India, which may operate below its full potential in the upcoming months due to disparities in crushing capacity. Furthermore, the export sale of rapeseed meal has experienced a noticeable slowdown recently. This decline can be attributed to the intensifying competition from soya meal in the global market.
