Rain delays soy harvest in Southern Brazil, making beans too wet

Soy farmers in Brazil's southernmost state have now harvested 91% of their soy area, up from 85% last week, despite rain and flooding disrupting field work for weeks, crop agency Emater reported on Thursday. However, soybean farmers in the country's second-largest oilseed-producing region still fall short of the 97% historical average for this period, Emater noted.
