Guar arrivals between October 2023 and April 2024 witnessed a 7% decline, totaling 141,938 tonnes compared to 152,474 tonnes in the same period the previous year. This marks a 15% decrease from the 5-year average of 177,466 tonnes.

In April 2024, arrivals saw a notable 29% decrease, dropping to 8,992 tonnes from 12,670 tonnes in March 2024.

Analyzing arrivals state-wise, Rajasthan experienced a 32% decline with 4,072 tonnes, down from 6,008 tonnes in the previous month. Similarly, Haryana recorded a significant 80% drop from the previous month, totaling 616 tonnes. Consequently, overall arrivals in major states saw a 30% decline compared to the previous month.

Considering the seasonality of Guar seed arrivals, it's anticipated that arrivals may see improvement in the coming weeks.
