The Food Ministry has announced that sugar mills have been authorized by the government to use 6.7 LT of B-heavy molasses for the production of ethanol in the current year. This allocation for using B-heavy molasses is in addition to the capped diversion of 17 LT of sugar for ethanol production in the 2023-24 year.
