Over the past week, guar seed prices have increased by 2.1% to INR 5,458 per quintal, and guar gum prices have risen by 1.57% to INR 10,766 per quintal. Churi prices have seen a 2% increase over the last month, reflecting strong domestic demand, while korma prices have decreased by 3.5%.

Cumulative exports from October 2023 to June 2024 have surged by 17% compared to the same period last year, indicating robust market demand likely to support higher guar prices. Despite this, guar sowing progress is down by 27% from last season due to a shift to more profitable crops, which is expected to prevent major declines in guar prices in the near term.

However, current guar seed arrivals are sufficient to meet millers' demand, limiting any significant upward price movement.
