According to the latest report from the Food Corporation of India (FCI), approximately 264.80 LMT of wheat has been procured, higher than the previous year. Punjab leads the procurement with 124.59 LMT, followed by Haryana with 71.50 LMT. Currently, around 85% of the total target has been achieved. However, the overall procurement might touch 270 LMT, as the process is slowing due to farmers holding back stocks in anticipation of better prices.
