The Chana physical market traded steady to marginally weak, with prices fluctuating by around INR 50 per quintal during the reviewed week. This was due to lower buying support amidst the release of approximately 36,000 tonnes of Chana in Madhya Pradesh by a government agency and substantial stocks of Yellow Peas at ports and domestically. According to Agmarknet data, Chana arrivals decreased by 14%, from 26,999 MT to 23,121 MT, during the week from July 13-20 compared to the same period last year.

Chana is expected to trade in a range of INR 100-200 per quintal until demand increases.

Chana traded at INR 7,050 per quintal, down by 0.70% in Delhi and at INR 7,050 per quintal, down by 0.70% in Indore. Bikaner market traded flat at INR 6,900 per quintal.
