The government has implemented an immediate stock limit on wheat to control rising prices, effective until March 31, 2025. Wholesalers and traders are restricted to a maximum of 3,000 MT, while large chain retailers are limited to 10 tons per outlet. For processors, the limit is set at 70% of their monthly installed capacity multiplied by the remaining months of the fiscal year. With this wheat prices would see a downtrend of Rs. 50-100 per quintal in the coming 15-20 days.
