According to the latest USDA report, The Philippines is projected to produce approximately 12.12 million MT of rice this year, thanks to government promoted funding. This estimate is slightly higher than the previous forecast of 12 million MT by the USDA for the marketing year. The report also mentions that the forecast takes into account the expected weakening of El Niño in the April-May period.
