During the past week, Guar seed arrivals remained sluggish as farmers hesitated to sell their produce amidst a bearish market sentiment.

Recent week witnessed a modest 2.19% increase in Guar seed arrivals, totaling 34,050 quintals compared to the previous week's 33,319 quintals. Rajasthan contributed to this rise by 2.42%, reaching 14,905 quintals, a slight increase from the previous week's 14,553 quintals. Meanwhile, Haryana noted a 1.17% increase, with arrivals totaling 18,975 quintals compared to 18,755 quintals the week prior.

Traders at the Bikaner mandi in Rajasthan expect arrivals to persist until mid-April, foreseeing a subsequent decline as domestic demand diminishes. Additionally, a trader in Sirsa district of Haryana observed a decrease in arrivals during the month, coinciding with the entry of other major crops such as mustard and wheat into the mandis. Consequently, Guar arrivals are expected to decline further in the forthcoming weeks.
